Vitamin Supplements May Lower Cataract Risk
Cataracts are a common problem among older Americans, and a recent study shows that certain vitamins and minerals, particularly antioxidants, may play a role in slowing cataract development.
Subjects who had taken multivitamins or any supplement containing vitamins C or E for more than ten years were 60% less likely to develop nuclear or cortical cataracts.

Antibacterial Products Being Overused
The American Medical Association (AMA) has requested that the government tighten up regulation of antibacterial products, such as soaps, detergents, lotions, sprays, and other household products. The primary concern is that overuse of these products steps up the evolutionary process of bacteria, in effect, helping to create bacteria that is stronger, more resistant, and possibly more dangerous. We are now seeing the same process happening with overuse of antibiotics.
